Priceless: Travis Bader’s Letter of Apology From the RCMP

Published March 24, 2020 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: Abuse of Police Authority, Guns, Police, Police Misconduct, RCMP Accountability, RCMP Hall of Shame

RCMP Apology Letter to Travis Bader and Silvercore Training Systems

In early February I had the pleasure of interviewing Travis Bader, founder and owner of Silvercore Advanced Training Systems, at his offices in Ladner, BC. It's an interview I've wanted to conduct for many years so it was a real treat to finally have the opportunity to sit down and speak with him in person. While I wrote extensively about Bader's case and the RCMP corruption … [Read more...]

RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson gives me hope for the RCMP

Published January 5, 2012 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: 25 Reasons To Dump The RCMP, Police Misconduct, RCMP Accountability

Yeah, it was an odd title for me to write, so don’t feel strange if it feels weird to read it!  Over the past many years there has been very little to give any of us hope when it comes to the RCMP.  Scandal after scandal has headlined every newspaper and television station across the nation; stories of RCMP members killing civilians or brutally beating them for sport, stealing … [Read more...]

Rapinder (Rob) Sidhu: Reason #6 to Dump the BC RCMP

Published November 19, 2011 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: 25 Reasons To Dump The RCMP, Police, Police Corruption, RCMP Hall of Shame

Rapinder (Rob) Sidhu is not a serving member of the RCMP.  He is included in this list because the very fact that he WAS an RCMP member shows the complete lack of proper screening the RCMP as a whole uses when recruiting its members. Instead of hiring the best possible candidates, regardless of race, the RCMP has long had an affirmative action plan that requires visible … [Read more...]

Staff-Sgt. Travis Pearson: Reason #5 to Dump the BC RCMP

Published October 31, 2011 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: 25 Reasons To Dump The RCMP, Police, Police Misconduct, RCMP Hall of Shame

Staff-Sgt. Travis Pearson has gotten himself into a lot of hot water with his sexual relationship with a subordinate under his command, Constable Susan Gastaldo while she worked for him in 2009 in the "Special O" surveillance unit based in Burnaby, BC. Staff-Sgt. Pearson doesn’t get the #5 spot because I necessarily believe all of Constable Gastaldo’s story.  After digging … [Read more...]

Constable Nick Sharma disgraces himself and the RCMP

Published April 20, 2011 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: Police, Police Corruption, Police Misconduct, RCMP Hall of Shame

Constable Nick Sharma is a member of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, whose mandate is to stop gangs and drug dealers. From their website: The mission of CFSEU-BC is to facilitate the disruption and suppression of organized crime which affects British Columbians. The mandate is to investigate, prosecute, disrupt and suppress criminal organizations, consistent … [Read more...]

CTV News Story on corruption in BC’s Chief Firearms Office

Published December 28, 2010 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: Police Corruption, Police Misconduct

The CTV did a story on the lawsuit filed recently by Travis Bader against numerous RCMP members and the provincial government.  It was through filing the lawsuit that Bader learned about the involvement in his case by Constable David Clarke, now suspended (with pay) and facing about 15 charges, including theft of police property, theft and sales of marijuana, and possession of … [Read more...]
