A reign of terror has overcome the entire planet as the Global Elites consolidate their grip of power over the Earth. The world’s stock markets have crashed. Everyday life in the newly-formed Republic of North America is a nightmare of food riots, high-tech surveillance and police state authoritarianism.
Jake Scribner yearns to avoid the chaos mushrooming all around him. Recently retired after a 22-year stint in the U.S. Air Force, Jake intends to live a quiet life in British Columbia’s Thompson-Nicola region.
The former combat controller, known for his razor-sharp instincts and rugged, movie-star good looks, is abruptly pressed back into service when Kamloops is occupied by a legion of militarized North American Police Units and United Nations forces and placed under martial law.
Although Jake barely manages to elude capture and flee into the nearby mountains, his fiancé, Nicole, a prominent liberty activist, is apprehended and detained. Desperate to rescue Nicole and repel the invaders, Jake joins a small group of freedom fighters. The hastily-formed insurgent group wages a harrowing, deadly campaign of guerrilla warfare and sabotage.
Meanwhile, as the district government unleashes a wave of terror and oppression against the residents of Kamloops, an insurgency directed by a retired RCMP officer springs up. Jake and his fellow partisans team up with the growing resistance movement in Kamloops and launch one final all-out assault to retake the city and rescue the political prisoners, including Nicole.
