My great friend and un-indicted co-conspirator in all things writing, Jane Gaffin, sent me a link to the YouTube video below along with this note:
I love the Gadsden flag. Here’s a neat lesson on the flag as flown on the
diArmani website bar and how the snake has even evolved in some circles
into a porcupine.
As Jane references in her brief message, we’ve been flying the Gadsden Flag at diArmani.com since 2004. We felt then, and still feel today, that it best represents how we feel about Freedom, Liberty, and our God-given Rights and Freedoms as codified in the Magna Carta and the 1689 English Bill of Rights, all of which preceded and led to the most amazing document ever penned, the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, with it’s first ten Amendments, known as the Bill of Rights.
When we first decided to fly the Gadsden over at diArmani.com, I asked Jane to write out why we felt it was so important. It was really fun to get back her response to my request, let me tell you. She managed, as only she can, to come up with a slogan to go with that document which is still there today: diarmani.com: We Bite Back!
Here’s the link to Jane’s explanation of why we fly the Gadsden Flag, and below is the video she sent to me that explains the history of this amazing symbol of Freedom and Liberty. Enjoy!
