Just yesterday I posted about a brave and courageous police officer, Patrick Sirois, who gave his life to save someone he didn’t even know.
And today I came across a news story about a police officer in West Vancouver who “allegedly” forged a witness’s signature and then lied about it to the people investigating the allegation.
It’s cops like Const. Michael Bruce who give all of their brother officers a really bad name. Just because there is a shortcut in front of you, it doesn’t mean you’ve got to take it.
What’s even more disturbing is that most police complaints and the resulting disciplinary action (if any) is never reported to the public. It’s not deemed to be “in our best interest” to know when we have corrupt and/or criminal police officers wandering the streats. With badges and guns.
We are just the peasant class, after all. How could we possibly know what’s in our best interest?
Read all about it in this Vancouver Sun article.
