Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum needs to lose the primary race and lose it soon. Any so-called “conservative” candidate who claims big government is a good thing is NOT a conservative.
In a recent news report Rick Santorum was quoted as saying in 2008
“to our credit”, he said, the Republican Party has “morphed away from the Goldwater idea that government just needs to be smaller, it needs to do less, it needs to be doing nothing except for what its core functions are.”
If Santorum’s notion is right, then conservatism is dead. Period.
Government was created in America with specifically enumerated “core functions” and government was limited to those functions. It’s all in this pesky little document called The Constitution. Sounds to me like Rick Santorum ought to read it some time.
To quote Ann Coulter on this point:
The Constitution mostly places limits on what the federal government can do. Only in a few instances does it restrict what states can do.
A state cannot, for example, infringe on the people’s right to bear arms or to engage in the free exercise of religion. A state can’t send a senator to the U.S. Congress if he is under 30 years old. But with rare exceptions, the Constitution leaves states free to govern themselves as they see fit.
Like all government officials (Santorum was a Pennsylvania Senator), Santorum swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Clearly he sees himself one of the more progressive members of the Political Class who, unlike we mere citizens, has a “vision” for how things ought to be.
We’ve already had almost 4 years of “vision” from another progressive man, haven’t we?
Is there really any doubt about how that’s worked out for America so far?
Does America seriously want an election between two pigs feeding at the taxpayer trough, each determined to promise the people more of their own money?
If Santorum gets the nod for the Republican Party Presidential Nomination then two things are certain:
1. There will be no alternative choice offered to the American People this November, and
2. Barack Obama will be laughing his way to his second and unaccountable term in office.
To quote a friend of mine…
Obama’s consolidation of power (sovereignty) is almost complete. Restricting speech, implementing martial law and just being an all-around omnipotent being is obviously his end game. If he gets re-elected, America will be speaking Arabic and bowing toward Mecca three times a day…
My hope and prayer is that Americans are willing to change the course of their nation this November. Dumping Obama is the only way that America stands a chance at regaining the shadow of her former glory as envisioned by the Founding Fathers.

I’ve followed U.S. politics all my life but that doesn’t mean I comprehend the process of the primaries. With 58% of the Republicans unhappy with ANY of the candidates going into this it makes me wonder…. Romney can win simply by throwing in more money which Illinois (Chicago) can do, but I think he’s going to get caught by lower income votes. I feel he and Santorum have a lot in common as they seem to be out of touch with both Domestic problems and foreign issues. Paul obviously is the loser here, but I’m curious as to why Gingrich is hanging in.
The Tea Party doesn’t, in my mind, seem to be showing up at the polls. Does anyone think Sarah Palin is preparing to upset the apple cart at the convention? Paired up with Gingrich she could put a huge curve in the Republican movement. It has become very obvious to most people she was maligned and mistreated by her party the last go around and considering the money spent by the two forerunners she would never have been able to match their budgets in the cash free for all that’s taking place.
I realize this may well be a pipedream but it’s the only way Obama stands to lose. Obama has and will cheat, lie, and spend to get in. The forerunners have avoided addressing the Hispanics, the Blacks and the poor which seems to me to be a huge mistake. Romney has money but little charisma, Santorum has no charisma less cash, while Obama can throw more cash and false promises to win their votes again.
I hate to say it but I think Obama is a shoo in unless something or someone comes out of left field.

I have no idea where this came from. If anyone knows if it’s legit I’d sure like to know:
The US government has been taking steps to prepare
for what would seems like an assault on its own people.
You only have to look at the latest step…
An Executive Order Signed March 16th,2012 …
…That put the United States into a State Of Martial Law
With no Congressional approval or Judicial recourse,
this law allows the government to be an unregulated
bully with inherent permissions to confiscate food,
water, and supplies at will.
When a crisis hits and all hell breaks loose,
the government that most choose to rely on
now has the authority to come in and
take from those who are prepared.
It is more important than ever to make sure you are fully prepared
for a crisis meltdown AND keep your supplies under wraps
by planning to survive in your home.
This bill heightens the risks that we are facing and
prepared and likeminded citizens.

Here is the link to the actual Executive Order. I haven’t dug into it but there has been lots of commentary flying around the ‘net about it.

I believe the Executive Order referred to by Kenneth Ryan is the National Defense Authorization Act (not an EO), signed on New Year’s Eve when nobody was paying attention because de facto U.S. President Obama had promised he wasn’t going to sign a bill that gave him the complete authority to send out the CIA and/or U.S. military to capture a U.S. citizen any where in the world and detain the captive without habeas corpus, charges or trial but could torture or disappear the person without family and friends ever knowing the person’s fate.
The bill did not come into effect until March 16, 2012.
And one of the persons who was responsible for drafting this piece of legislation in secret was none other than Arizona Republican doughboy Senator John McCain, whose birth place made him as ineligible to run as a presidential candidate as did Obama’s offshore birth place.
The Democrat Senator Carl Levin of Michigan was the other traitor.
Yes, there are plenty of totalitarian measures in the Act for expropriation/commandeering of property and goods without compensation, such as machinery owned by farmers who are honest and willing to give an accounting to the federal government of what they own; then the military shows up and takes the machinery for some flood, hurricane or other disaster–but the property is never returned. It ends up in some United Nations Third World country.
During WWII, the U.S. Army rolled into northern Canada to build the Alaska Highway and under emergency circumstances commandeered the riverboats and trains and railroad. But the Army at least paid a trifle for use of the property which was returned to the proper owners at the end of the war.
But that was before people were swallowed into a totalitarian society.

Me, again!
Regardless of what “We the (American) People” want, the GOP Marxists and power elite have rigged election results so badly in the last 50 years, the 2012 U.S. election is not even really a contest between two legitimate opponents.
It’s an appointment of a de facto, non-elected president who is approved and voted on by a hand-picked electoral college who actually have the authority to overturn the electorate.
The president has become a meaningless figurehead in the shadows of that communist-led outfit called the United Nations. Regardless of which dumb donkey serves as the braying messenger, the wheels of the bureaucracy and the power elite will continue turning in the same direction as before.
In other words, the Democrats and Republicans are one and the same.
As Boss Tweed, another scumbag American Democratic politician who died in jail (a lot more should be there), said: “As long as I count the votes, what are you going to do about it?”
Neither did it make a hoot of difference to Stalin who cast the votes; it’s who counts the votes that matters.
And whereas the American people love Ron Paul, both political parties fear and hate him. If he ever got through jumping the hoops and landed in the Oval Office, he would be the one person who could turn America right side up again.
In more than 30 years as a politician, Dr. Paul, a constitutionalist first and foremost, has never deviated from his Libertarian stance for small government that would get the state off the people’s back and out of their lives, leaving individuals free to pursue their own happiness and prosperity.
Although Dr. Paul may not get the nod as the Republican presidential candidate, he has carried out a tremendous service of educating and energizing the American people, especially galvanizing the young people to action.
The young people will be the next generation who must save their great country from the clutches of the corrupt Boss Tweeds and Stalins who manipulate the United Nations and its evil thrust to establish a global totalitarianism called a One World Order, One World Religion, One World Military.
Below is an excerpt from “Why Ron Paul Can Win”, published December 22, 2011 in The Daily Bell. The piece was written by James Jaeger, whose impressive credentials include founder of Matrixx Productions.
He explains the complex situation more elegantly than I can. Notice that Rick Santorum wasn’t even important enough to be mentioned. [My paragraphing.]
“So, the GOP has some serious choices to make.
Either they morph into a small-government party and support the Ron Paul Revolution of “getting back to the Constitution,” or they risk losing their power to a new political party. And a new political party would not only mean the demise of the Republican party, but the Democratic party as well.
Since the Democratic Party AND the Republican Party are BOTH the parties of BIG government, a new political party of SMALL government would reveal to the public ? more than ever ? what the two mainstream parties have become.
The two mainstream parties ? the Democrats and Republicans ? have become, in essence, two departments of the same police state. They are the same political party, in effect: growing the government ever larger and ever more militaristic, both domestically and internationally. The PATRIOT Act expands the police state domestically, and the UN, IMF, WTO, NAFTA, GATT and NATO ?which they BOTH continuously and blindly support ? expand the police state internationally.
Due to serious abridgments of the US Constitution and principles stated in the Declaration of Independence, the United States are now run by a dictating oligarchy known as the UNITED STATES.
And this dictating oligarchy is dominated by cultural Marxists and corporate fascists who have hijacked the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively.
The “DemoPublicans” have established the Department of Homeland Security for the purpose of administering their police state and the PATRIOT Act has become their new Constitution.
If you accept the idea that the Democrats and Republicans (again the “DemoPublicans”) have become two departments of the same police state ? two wings of the same ugly bird ? you will have to accept that ultimately it does not matter whether a Democrat or Republican is elected to the presidency.
It does not matter if Obama or Romney is elected president.
Establishment politicians in either of these “two” parties will continue to use the Federal Reserve System to monetize debt (print money out of thin air) and use this fraudulent “fiat” currency to build their welfare-warfare state.
It could be said that Republicans specialize in printing money to build weapons and wage wars ? Democrats specialize in printing money to address the sick and the poor.
The Republicans thus CREATE the sick and the poor with their WAR-fare policies and the Democrats HEAL the sick and the poor with their WELL-fare policies.
Thus when an entity controls the HEALING and HURTING of Humankind, doesn’t that entity, in essence, CONTROL Humankind?
Well, welcome to the DemoPublican control mechanism ? something you might think about the next time you vote or mindlessly scream out for your Clinton-, Bush-, Obama-, Gingrich- or Romney-candidate.
Taken as a whole, the Demopublican machine ? now assembled more by supra-national, international banking families than American citizens ? has destroyed US politics that used to center on constitutional principles.
Controllers in this CFR-led (Council of Foreign Relations) embryonic world government have created a well-oiled machine to maximize the plunder of millions, if not billions of people, through the mechanism of central banking, debt and the hurting-healing cycle.
Would it not be reasonable to posit that the Democratic and Republican Parties are thus primary tools in what seems to be a master plan of globalization?”

Thanks Chris!!!

hey chris,
i agree and that he needs to go, but not before he helps keep romney crippled so that we can get a brokered convention and have our last chance to get a main of character and with a mind towards liberty on the republican ticket !!
and chris, of course you know i mean dr ron paul.
the longer the party stays fractured, the better our chances are since nobody really likes anybody that much, except for that dr pauls supporters love him !!
and with every day the revolution is gaining ground.
so i want everybody to stay in until tampa at this point.
we are getting the delegates even if we arent winning the contests.
so even pledged delegates can vote ron paul after the 1st ballot, and many of the unpledged delegates for romney and santorum are really undercover ron paul supportes who will vote for him in the first ballot.
since if noone else offered to take a santorum or romney spot at a caucus, anybody could offer to be the delegate… and many ron paul supporters got those spots.
the tireless minority that samuel adams spoke of is on the move !! we’ll see if it is enough, fast enough…

“Ann Coulter is right.” I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day. This woman needs to stop masquerading as a conservative, and admit that she is a war loving, money spending, privacy invading, something or other (labels can be so hard to use sometimes). There is only one candidate in the Republican field who is serious; it is a pity the system is not about talking about the issues, but rather whose man is in power. Obviously the military industrial complex, and its bedfellow the bankers, will have nothing to do with real change (as opposed to Obama’s ‘hope and change.’) and therefore the only candidate worth looking at will not be allowed to win. As for Ann Coulter, I wonder how she will be doing when the U.S. Dollar is good for nothing but maybe wiping one’s behind.
Kenneth G Ryan says
Well with the Banks and the military in bed together, why did George W have so much opposition to staying in Iraq? Strikes me that the real problem is the beureaucrats who form the civil services and the high society of D.C. Like any service beureaucracy, they can assist or throw sand in the gears. I think even a competent President will fail these days in such a formidable environment. A President will go in with hope and change but once they see THE WALL WHICH MUST BE BOUGHT WITH FAVORS they get discouraged. Obama may survive simply because he doesn’t know what he wants; he simply takes orders from the people he sold his soul to.
