Two weeks to the day after one Muslim terrorist murdered 49 people in a Florida nightclub another moron walked into a Playoffz nightclub in Lyman, South Carolina, and opened fire.

He struck three people before the weirdest thing happened. A good guy pulled his gun and fired, ending the shooting spree instantly.

The simple truth is this: Mainstream Media, like all gun control fanatics, need a high body count in order to press their anti-gun agenda. The sad reality for those of us who understand such things is that “high body count” only includes corpses, not lives saved.

That’s why the early Sunday morning shooting at the Playoffz nightclub isn’t even a blip on the mainstream media radar. The “high body count” was merely lives saved and they don’t count with the “if it bleeds it leads” crowd.

One of the patrons of Playoffz nightclub was prepared for precisely this scenario. The unnamed hero and concealed carry license holder pulled his gun and shot 32-year-old Jody Ray Thompson, thus ending the nightmare.

Fortunately none of Thompson’s shooting victims were killed and all will recover from their wounds.

Jody Ray Thompson is charged with attempted murder (4 counts), possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. He currently resides in the Spartanburg County Detention Center and will most likely take up residence in a federal prison when his trial is finished.

The hero and concealed carry permit holder will not be charged.

Like the story of the 11-year-old boy I wrote about the other day who shot and killed one home invader and scared off the second the mainstream media is stumbling all over itself to not report this story.

Why?

The answer is simple. Defensive use of firearms is a positive and legitimate reason to own a gun. The mainstream media and their anti-gun zealots they pander to cannot stand that searingly simple truth.

No, they would prefer dozens more dead in another nightclub. Then they could press their anti-gun agenda while gleefully and self-righteously dancing in the blood of the dead.
