President Barack Obama will do what every “gun control” advocate does when attempting to advanced more Liberty-crushing leftist ideology: he will bathe in the blood of the victims. Worse, he will cower behind a human shield of children while he proclaims his desire to rid America of guns.
In the Brave New America, it’s Obama’s Way or the highway as he attempts to force his will on the nation, destroying the US Constitution in the process.
In a peremptory media strike, Obama released letters from children “begging” him to do something to get rid of firearms in America.
“I know that laws have to be passed by Congress but I beg you to try very hard to make guns not allowed. Not just for me, but for the whole United States,” Julia wrote, signing the letter with “my love and regrets.”
There’s the age-old battle cry of the gun control fanatics…
IT’S FOR THE CHILDREN!!!!
How come that pathetic mewling is treated as Gospel? Why isn’t stopping mass murderers in their tracks BEFORE they can kill dozens of innocents “for the children“?
Are we now basing public policy on the opinions of 11-year-old children? Whatever happened to rational debate? Apparently that’s off the table if for no other reason than it gets in the way with the Obama Agenda.
As I’ve written about many times before, when Israel was confronted with terrorists trying to murder their school children they implemented a solution to the problem: they armed teachers and Viola! The terrorist attacks ceased.
Immediately.
On Saturday January 19, 2013 millions of Americans will show their support for the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States in a national show of support. Dubbed “National Gun Appreciation Day“, this event will show President Obama exactly how much opposition he faces if he tries implementing harsh “gun control” measures through executive order.
From GunAppreciationDay.com:
On January 19, 2013 go to your local gun store, gun range or gun show with your Constitution, American Flags and your ‘Hands off my Guns’ sign to send a loud and clear message to Congress and President Obama.
At issue is the widely-reported rumours that President Obama will use his Executive Order powers to make an end-run around Congress and the Constitution. This is hardly surprising in the wake of his inability to pass any anti-gun legislation during his first term in the White House.
Of course that failure was compounded by the ineptness of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) and their asinine “Fast and Furious” gun scandal, where they forced gun stores to sell firearms to known associates of Mexican drug cartels.
The lid blew off that scandal after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered with a firearm traced back to that program.
Naturally, Obama, Eric Holder and a host of other government officials claim they knew nothing about Project Fast and Furious, despite documentation that proves otherwise. In the rush to blame law-abiding American gun owners, the national media has pretty much ignored this scandal and the Obama administration’s responsibility for the disastrous program.
Had a Republican president been sitting in the White House when this scandal broke, there is no doubt the mainstream media would have called for the President’s head on a platter. Obama, the Anointed One, got a free pass just has he has on every other national scandal involving him.
Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation and chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, said:
“We need to ban politicians who assault our rights, not firearms that are used thousands of times a day to protect lives and property from criminal attack.”
Gottlieb is not alone in that sentiment. So far two states will implement legislation making it a crime for federal law enforcement agencies to arrest US citizens for violating the new Obama edict.
Wyoming introduced House Bill HB0104, the Firearms Protection Act, which states, in part,
No public servant as defined n W.S. 6-5-101, or dealer selling any firearm in this state shall enforce or attempt to enforce any act, law, statute rule or regulation of the United States government relating to a personal firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition that is owned or manufactured commercially or privately in Wyoming an that remains exclusively within the borders of Wyoming.
Any official, agent or employee of the United States government who enforces or attempts to enforce any act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation of the United States government upon a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition that is owned or manufactured commercially or privately in Wyoming and that remains exclusively within the borders of Wyoming shall be guilty f a felony an, upon conviction, shall be subject to imprisonment of not less than one (1) year and one 1) day or more than five (5) years, fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5000), or both.
Texas State Rep. Steve Toth says he will introduce the a copy of Wyoming’s Firearms Protection Act in his state.
“If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution,” Toth told 1200 WOAI’s Joe Pags Tuesday. He says his bill would make attempting to enforce a federal gun ban in Texas punishable by a $50,000 fine and up to five years in prison.
“At some point there needs to be a showdown between the states and the federal government over the Supremacy Clause,” he said.
The Supremacy Clause is the portion of the Constitution which declares that federal laws and statutes are ‘the supreme law of the land.’
“It is our responsibility to push back when those laws are infringed by King Obama,” Toth said.
It will be interesting to see how far Obama thinks he can go with his Executive Order, and how many more states join the pushback against Obama and the rule of tyrants.
