Ian Thomson was acquitted of unsafe storage of firearms charges on January 3, 2013. You can download the full transcript of the decision here: http://rightsandfreedoms.s3.amazonaws.com/pdf/THOMSON-IAN-TRANSCRIPT_20130103.pdf
While I personally haven’t read it fully yet, I’m told it makes for some interesting reading. I’ll be writing my opinion of what the judge said in the next few days.
In the meantime, may I suggest sending Ian Thomson a contribution to his legal defense bill, which at last report still he still owes over $30,000.
This case should never have happened, and Ian’s commitment to standing up for what is right should be commended.
My first check for $100 went to Ian last week. I’ll be sending another one at the end of the month. I’ll be doing that each month until either his legal bill is paid in full or I can no longer afford to send him the money.
He’s done all Canadians a great service and I believe we all ought to help him carry that load.
Please send your contribution to:

Bud Young says
The illiterate morons that laid the bogus charges in the first place should be made to pay Ian Thomsons illegal bills.
I sincerely hope that he will be suing for damages.
