You’ve really got to admire the ingenuity of it all, even if their motives are less than honourable.  Building a fake school bus to sell drugs is, I think, a pretty novel idea.  I suppose they needed to be a little smarter in the implementation phase of their plan though!

Three B.C. men facing drug charges while trying to pass their vehicle — disguised as a school bus — through Fort McMurray’s highway are due in court today.

Wood Buffalo RCMP were making a vehicle stop on Sept. 15 about 6 p.m. on Highway 63 after receiving several complaints about a van that was disguised as a school bus making rounds at local high schools and oilsands sites selling the drugs.

Police found about 100 grams of marijuana, 47 grams of hashish oil, 7 grams of heroin, 100 grams of (magic mushrooms), ecstasy tablets, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located inside the van.

Andrew Braye, 25, from Comox Valley, B.C., Leigh Harrison, 25, from Courtenay, B.C., and Scott Weber, 24, from Victoria, B.C., are facing two counts each for drug possession and for the purpose of trafficking.

They were released on cash bail with several conditions, including not being within a 50 kilometre radius of the city.
