Another great example of Islam: the Religion of Peace

Published August 15, 2011 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: Crime, Islam, Sexual Predators, The Religion Of Peace

We keep hearing from western followers of Islam how theirs is the “religion of peace“, and how they only want to peacefully co-exist with everyone else.

Setting aside that this professed attitude is in direct contradiction to the teachings of the Koran, I want to talk a little about a single recent example of Islam, the  “religion of peace” in action.

I want to talk about the case of  Hiba Abdelfadil Anglo from Khartoum, Sudan.

On June 17, 2010, Hiba Abdelfadil Anglo, then just 15 years old, was abducted by a gang of Muslim men.  She was beaten until she was unconscious and then locked in a room where the leader of the gang raped her.

She was moved from location to location for months, beaten and raped as her captors saw fit and under threat of death if she tried to escape.

They insulted her family and called them “infidels.”

Her crime? She was a Christian.

In the eyes of her Muslim captors that made her sub-human and subject to their every evil desire unless and until she denied her own faith and converted to Islam.

I only heard about this case yesterday morning as my Pastor was preaching on the Beatitudes, He spoke of how hard it was to preach on being persecuted for Christ to those of us living in a Western nation.

Professing Christians in Western nations, he said, cannot comprehend the persecution that goes on in other parts of the world.

He then cited just two examples.

Hiba’s case was the first he spoke of.  While she was abducted over a year ago, we were only hearing about it because Hiba had miraculously managed to escape from her captors and returned home to her family.

“I had tried to escape three times before, but they captured me every time and beat me a lot,” she said, sobbing.

“Apart from abusing me sexually, he tried to force me to change my faith and kept reminding me to prepare for Ramadan,” she said.

“I cannot forget this bad incident, and whenever I try to pray, I find it difficult to forget. I ask believers to pray for me for inner healing.’

The horror of what she endured for the past 12 months is with her daily.  She lives in fear of her captors, that they will come for her again.  She finds prayer difficult.  She finds everything difficult.

It’s not hard to understand why.  The actions of so-called Muslim men against this 15-year-old girl are heinous. They are atrocious.  They are, by any measure I can come up with, indefensible.

The report of Hiba’s story on BeTheDomino.org ends with this:

We ask that you would please pray for Hiba.  Pray for both physical and emotional healing.  Pray for peace in her heart, and in the heart of her family.  Hiba fears that her attackers may come back for her.

Pray that her story would touch the lives of others, and that she would be continue to be a voice for those who feel as though they have no voice.  Share this story with others.  This girl has a story that needs to be told.  People need to know about this, and realize what we take for granted can cost someone in another country everything.

Pray that her attackers would be brought to justice.

All I can say to that is a hearty “Amen.”

That a group of Muslim men can kidnap, beat and rape a 15-year-old girl because she does not share their faith speaks volumes on the character of those men, and by extension, their religion.

But the horrific acts of these men against a 15-year-old Sudanese girl is not even the most disgusting part of Hiba’s story.  Believe it or not, it actually gets worse.

Hiba’s mother said that when she first went to a police station to open a case, officers told her she must first leave Christianity for Islam.

What kind of a human being acts that way?  What kind of police officer treats the kidnap, beating and rape of an child so callously?

Apparently, a Muslim policeman in Khartoum…

“You must convert to Islam if you want your daughter back,” officer Fakhr El-Dean Mustafa of the Family and Child Protection Unit told Ikhlas Anglo, Hiba’s mother.

The news report goes on to say, almost tongue-in-cheek:

Recently transferred to another station, Mustafa was not immediately available for comment.

Yeah, I bet.

There’s nothing quite like showing to the world what a complete and callous scumbag you are to send such a corrupt and insensitive cockroach scurrying for cover.

So much for getting any justice or help from the police…

“Since my daughter was kidnapped, I have been living in a state of fear and terror,” said Ikhlas Anglo, 35, a mother of two daughters.

A relative of the girl said police are fully involved in the crime, as officers had traced the phone number of the kidnappers but were reluctant to admit that to the girl’s family.

‘‘The police have a direct link with the kidnappers,’’ the relative said.

There is still one final shock to my sensibilities to come.

Believe it or not, after giving her permission to take time off to search for hir missing daughter, her employer fired Ikhlas Anglo from her job without so much as even telling her.

As a human being I cannot comprehend how anyone can defend the actions of any of these professing Muslims, from the kidnappers and rapists who first abducted young Hiba, to the police who told her distraught mother, “You must convert to Islam if you want your daughter back,” to the employer who cared so little for his Christian employee that he would fire her without warning AFTER telling her she can have the time off to search for her missing daughter.

Muslims, if this is your “Religion of Peace” then I want no part of it.

Not in my neighbourhood, not in my city and not in my country.

I cannot comprehend how you can defend your fellow Muslims in circumstances like these.

In fact, in not loudly and publicly denouncing these criminals, you condone their every act.

Shame on you.

These acts of physical, mental and sexual violence by some misguided and simple minded zealots who think that forcing people to change their religion has any benefit for the spread of Islam or for the individual are actually doing Islam harm and provide examples to counter the claims of Muslims that it is a religion of peace.

The “Qur’an clearly states,”There is no compulsion in religion”. When idolaters were trying to destroy Islam militarily was an exception and to prevent them for being killed, they had to renounce their idolatry and enmity by accepting an Islamic identity. Anti-Muslim propaganda to demonize Islam by citing individual acts is the stock in trade of evangelicals and Islamophobes who have a pro-Israel agenda.

Muslims have to be reeducated about Islamic ethics so that they can be good examples as in the past where many became Muslims as in Indonesia without force. Conditions today that put the military, economic and political power the US and Israel to support regimes that are not in the best interest of Muslims out of a fear that fundamentalist regimes will replace them and be a threat to oil and Israel.

All the books written since 9/11 about Islam and terrorism have been mostly negative and propaganda although many have a positive approach. Constructive dialogue that seeks understanding of the other is seen as being politically correct and demonization the preferred choice by fanatic Christians to stop the spread of Islam by free choice in the West. Fear of the Islamization of the US and Europe is promoted as stealth take over through Shari’at.

You have done it again. To add to this troy on the peace loving mulsims. I can attest to the actions which are criminal in nature that have gone on here. I worked for a company run by members of the BC islamic muslim community. I worked 62 hours a week nights .
I was originally told I could have my neals there etc and there was no charge for my worksuite. I had to relocate for the job and move in. after a short time I was told I was ungrateful and should work there out of kindness. They did not want to pay me for my work. Then I was told I had to pay for my meals. with what my wages? tehn I was told I was not allowed to eat there at all.
after that I went to employment standards who purseued these slave drivers for wages etc. For that reason my employers decided to bill me 2300 a month for my worksuite . a 3 room worksuite in back of industrial area. a form of intimidation.I was taken to the huma trafficking office and interviewed several times for crimes I witnessed and was a victimof. I was taken to RCMP headquarters with witnesses as well for taped interview, same reason. Many other victims/witnesses were taken to the MLAS office to inform her of what was going on at to be interviewed as same as above.
These peace loving perosns cost me a year wages, my health , and have harrassed me, and caused a great deal of problems for me and the cost of an attorny to purseu them as well at 2345.00 per hour.
They were writtn up for 3 violations under the employment standards act and given 3 penalties of 500.00 each a slap on the wrist. The a worksafe prevention officer wrote them up for 8 pages of unlawful violations June 2009. they ahve been written up in past years as well. How do they stay in v business well they have a lot of money and one house is at 2905 Tower hill crescent in Vancouver. They have violated the principles of the Quaran and anyhting decent and the laws of canada. Human traffickin, fraud, extortion, embezzlement and then the witnesses came forward to state they saw drugs being sold out of the basement by staff.
Another factor could be that my employer Malik Talib is very close to and works for or with the shah aga Khan of pakistan and is one of his members. I have an article where Stephan harper and the shah are together on stage and harper states how much he has in common with the shah. in what way? all of the above?. The Talibs can afford to pay there bills but dont want to. Also they are connected to so many companies in Canada. The files I have show about 9 or more and big money ones as well. List avialable . The tax department found it amusing that Malik Talib was a tax lawyer and want to know why he has not paid taxes in years so they are now taking a closer look. is this the road to peace. I dont think so. The case goes to court soon . perjury also seems to be one of their charms. their lawyer Nazeer Mihta of harris and company. I understand slavery is illegal has anyone told them that

Escuse type errors above the attorny cost 235.00 per hour correction. I have 4 boxes of evidence on these people and tapes and photographs of crimes commmitted. Also they had the nerve to host a womans walk in Vancouver to show us woman that they support womans issues and the quality of life. Is nt it a womans issue to get paid and be treated with respect and not to be a victim of her employer . I think they should look again at the book they swear to . more violations
