The BATF is arguably the most corrupt US federal agency, willing to hang anyone and everyone out to dry if it serves their internal anti-gun agenda. Is anyone really surprised that the BATF lied about ordering gun stores to sell to straw purchasers?

In the wake of the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry with firearms traced to a US gun store, the accusations flew fast and furious, eclipsed only by the level of BATF and Justice Department denials that they had anything to do with it.

Turns out they Lied.

They were warned by gun store owners that selling guns to drug cartel front buyers could end up with those guns being used to kill US Border Patrol agents.

US Senator Charles Grassley, a ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, wrote a letter to US attorney General Eric Holder that revealed he had copies of a series of emails between a US Federal agent and an Arizona gun dealer that spoke of these concerns.

“In light of this new evidence, the Justice Department’s claim that the ATF never knowingly sanctioned or allowed the sale of assault weapons to straw purchasers is simply not credible,” Grassley wrote.

Both his letter and the emails were released to the public on Thursday.

ATF Supervisor David Voth wrote the following in an email to an unidentified Arozona gun dealer:

“I understand that the frequency with which some individuals under investigation by our office have been purchasing firearms from your business has caused concerns for you. . . . However, if it helps put you at ease, we are continually monitoring these suspects using a variety of investigative techniques which I cannot go into (in) detail.”

Well ATF Supervisor Voth, I suggest you tell that to the family of slain Border Agent Brian Terry.  If you dare, that is.  I doubt a jury in the land would convict them if you suffered a fatal fall.  I’d be willing to bet most would consider that justice of another kind.

In the wake of the released letter and emails, shockingly, both Justice Department and BATF officials were “not available for comment.”

They’re happy to play God with others lives, yet are too cowardly to accept responsibility for their moronic actions when they get someone killed.

Eric Holder himself needs to be held accountable for the death of Brian Terry.

It is Eric Holder who is ultimately responsible for all the lies from the Justice Department and the BATF, and ultimately, it is Holder who probably directed them to lie and cover up their culpability in Brian Terry’s death.
