At 6:00pm on Monday, August 30th, approximately 500 people descended on Rosedale Park, just east of downtown Chilliwack, for a Free To Choose Rally against the BC Provincial government’s COVID-19 restrictions, mask mandates and mandatory injection orders for health workers.
“If you are capable of informed consent, you have the right to refuse consent. You can refuse or withdraw (stop) consent to health care for any reason, including religious or moral reasons. You have this right even if your decision puts your health or life in danger. Your decision must be respected.”

Word of the event spread by word of mouth and was, for the most part, kept off social media, proving people can still organize a large event without the help of Facebook and Twitter.

I almost always agree with you sir but in this case i think we might not agree with the degree of agreement.
I entirely agree with a person’s right to choose, however we must also agree that you are not absolved of the consequences of your choices.
Just as I have the right to choose whether to vaccinate or wear a mask, so too must all private citizens or corporations have the right to deny me service or have nothing to do with me. I see no reason why a person without a vaccinne should feel entitled to (for instance) enter upon Wal-Mart’s private property if Wal-Mart doesn’t want you there.

I have no issue with you disagreeing with me, Rob, and I greatly appreciate your taking the time to share your disagreement with me.
If this virus had the lethality of ebola or something similar, we’d be on the same page. The problem is the data – the government’s actual numbers – do not add up to make this a dangerous pandemic worthy of destroying our society and economy.
If it was, governments would not need to bribe people to get the ‘vaccine’. They’d be lined up and kicking down the doors of clinics to get it. They’re not lining up for many reasons, one of which COVID – just like the regular flu – is typically deadly only for the very old and those with serious health issues.
I also have a massive privacy issue with the government’s plan. Provincial and federal law all clearly state my medical records are none of anyone else’s business. But that’s an entirely different story that I’ll write more on at a later date.
There are a ton of reputable sources out there that lead to my position that we should not be making jabs necessary to keep a job or buy groceries.

Such ill-informed arrogance! What source of misinformation do you depend upon which still spreads lies ‘like the flu’, ‘only a few old people’, vaccine just to protect you’. People as young as teenagers, and a few very young ones, have died in distressing numbers. You get your vaccine to reduce risk of dying for you, your family, and your community. Nurses and all healthcare people are exhausted from the constant stream of very I’ll people presenting to ER’s in BC and all other provinces of this country and the rest of the world. Get off the UTube lies and read a local paper!

Arrogance? Misinformation?
Look up the mortality stats for the last five years in Canada. Those five figures alone will tell the tale of who is peddling misinformation, and it’s not me, sir. The rate for the last five years, if you’re too lazy to look it up, is almost identical.
The vaccine does not prevent you from getting COVID.
The vaccine does not stop you from spreading COVID.
That’s not conjecture or spin or misinformation, but the words of government medical agents across North America.
But according to you… I’m the problem? Right…
Austin Gilbert says
I agree with Rob but would go one step further. If you do not have a really valid reason such as a medical exemption then one should not expect to get treatment. I have had several relatives suffer from this virus and after treatment have recovered.
Time will tell.
Joe says
Right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, right to be presumed healthy until proven sick.
To you guys saying there should be consequences to not getting the nonvax (not a real vaccine as it does not prevent you catching the wuhan flu), sure, if I get someone sick and they die, come after me. Until then, I would ask you to treat me like I am not an aids patient or typhoid Mary by default.
Walmart can certainly stop me from going in, as long as the govt is not preventing other businesses from accepting non-jabbed / unmasked ppl.
Freedom of choice. I will go where I am wanted. Will discrimination by private businesses also extend to other things (e.g. cold, flu, herpes, lice, political affiliation, race)?
Also, if you want to prevent me from getting medical treatment, then refund me all the tax money that I have paid that went toward “free” healthcare and I will get private health care. Thanks.

Hey as always Christopher excellent article!
Thanks for the resources as well.
I finding myself in a terrible place with the upcoming insane, draconian Trudeau travel restrictions. I will not take the vaccines as I am a Christian and stand against the abortion tainted nature of all the available vaccines in Canada. There are other reasons why I stand against them as well. I live in BC and work at a fly in fly out (FIFO) site in Alberta. It would appear that unless we have our shots that I will lose my job.
Apparently we can drive (18 hrs one way) to Fort McMurray and then get a ridiculously expensive taxi ride to our site ($300 one way) but then we are paying for parking as well. The total cost makes it prohibitive of doing this. Our big oil company seens to not really care or they would let us park our vehicles on site. Anyways unless the courts decide the latest evil from Trudeau is unconstitutional, I’m in trouble.
The completely illogical statements coming from Trudeau continue to astound and baffle me: “We are doing this to protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated”
If the vaccines are so fantastic and give the user immunity, how can this be true?
The elephant in the room that all the MSM and low IQ politicians avoid is that the “vaccines” are garbage because they don’t offer immunity.
All of the vaccine mandates are about control and not about health whatsoever. Otherwise health Canada would have made smoking illegal long ago.
