On Thursday, February 25, 2021, Dr. Bonnie Henry, BC’s very own High Priestess of COVID, whined and complained about people protesting her office and expressing their displeasure with her grand but life-destroying pronouncements – aka Public Health Orders.

“We have people who have been protesting outside our office and, you know, it affects me but it also affects my family. It affects the people we work with and that’s the part that I find hardest to deal with.”

Oh, you poor thing.

Your arbitrary and self-contradicting orders are why people protest in front your office.

Your wanton and senseless destruction of lives, families and businesses are why you receive those letters that you call “unacceptable”.

It reveals so much about your character, Ms. Henry, that you refuse to accept it is your tearing up the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is what so many of us find “unacceptable”.

There are so many other ways you could deal with this “pandemic” – ways that would solve problems instead of create new ones.

“I recognize that when people are in crises part of the way they respond or react is to lash out or to be angry.”

I know you could be more condescending and disingenuous if you just put a little effort into it, Bonnie.

The only crises many of us face are those crises you manufactured for reasons only you comprehend – because you refuse to explain your rationale.

You stand at your podium, shower the mere citizens of British Columbia with your absurd decrees, then whine in front of news cameras and cry for sympathy because you are ‘so misunderstood.’

Grow up.

Take your lumps like an adult and pretend – just for a moment – that the lives, families and businesses you continue to destroy by your senseless edicts mean something to you.

But you can’t.

Instead, you shred the Charter, cry your crocodile tears and play the victim card when we demand you defend your decision to burn Canadians’ hard-won rights and freedoms before our very eyes.

“And it really is not acceptable. And what I find most disturbing is how it impacts the people I work with and my family and my close contacts and their concerns. So that’s the most challenging piece right now.

There is another way, Dr. Henry.

You’re just too cowardly to choose it for fear you will lose face over the failed path you’ve kept us on for too long.

Open your eyes.

The truth is right in front of you.

You only need the courage to admit you are wrong and choose a new path.

Therein lies the rub.

Courage is required.

You don’t have any.

The rest of us are left paying the price for your mistakes while you and your hefty government salary are ‘protected’ from those pesky mere citizens who dare disagree with you.

I pray daily that the scales drop from your eyes.

So far, those prayers remain unanswered but they won’t remain that way forever.
