Gun Bans in Canada’s Two-Tiered Justice System

Published May 21, 2020 by Christopher di Armani Filed Under: Canada's Firearms Act, Gun Politics, Guns, Politically Correct Madness, Politics

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

– George Orwell, Animal Farm

“The Governor in Council is not of the opinion that any thing prescribed to be a prohibited firearm or a prohibited device, in the Annexed Regulations, is reasonable for use in Canada for hunting or sporting purposes…”
– SOR/2020-96: The Liberal government’s Order in Council immediately Prohibiting 1,500 makes and models of guns owned by federally-licenced RCMP-vetted firearm owners because they are “not suitable for hunting.”

“Today we are closing the market for military grade assault weapons in Canada. We are banning 1500 models and variants of these firearms by way of regulations. These weapons were designed for one purpose and one purpose only to kill the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time. There is no use and no place for such weapons in Canada.”

– Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Press Conference, May 1, 2020

“There will be an exception for indigenous peoples exercising a section 35 hunting right.”

– Justice Minister David Lametti, May 1, 2020 Press Conference

“During that two-year period, they can’t use them, they can’t go hunting with them, they can’t take them to the range and shoot them, they can’t sell them, nor transfer them.”

– Public Safety Minister Bill Blair, May 1, 2020 Press Conference

“There will be an exception for indigenous peoples exercising a section 35 hunting right.”

– Justice Minister David Lametti, May 1, 2020 Press Conference

It doesn’t have to make sense.

It’s government policy.

20 years with DND I have heard many strange and unusual things but this takes the cake. So this is why I risked my life and suffered the loss of a limb…… Serving, for this? So what is the real reason behind the denial of an equalizing tool in the hands of free thinkers? Oh come on will never happen in Canada right? Tell that to millions of dead innocent Jewish people at the hands of…. you know. Ben Shapiro destroys Piers Morgan in an interview on this whole debate, priceless!

It is my opinion that the Governor in Council does not have the qualifications to determine what is and what is not is suitable for hunting. Natives are allowed with firearms like those made prohibited, so in fact these firearms are suitable for hunting.

If this is true Mr. Trudeau, why will your police forces still use them?

Come on, James. You know as well as I do how this works.

“There is one law for thee and another for me.”
