Jacob Malone, a former Pennsylvania youth pastor, needed to read his Bible more often. If he had, he would probably not be in prison for sexual assault nor would he be facing new charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
Instead, Jacob Malone failed to heed the Biblical warnings provided by the story of King David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel chapter 11.
“On February 24, 2020, Pennsylvania State Police charged former youth pastor, Jacob Malone, with multiple counts of Solicitation to Commit Murder, and related charges, for attempting to hire someone to kill Pastor Harold Lee Wiggins and Common Pleas Judge Jacqueline Cody in Somerset County.“
Malone blamed Pastor Wiggins for calling police on him after he got the young woman pregnant. He was furious at for rejecting his plea deal.
In 2014, Jacob Malone was a youth pastor at Calvary Fellowship Church in Exton, Pennsylvania, where his penchant for young women landed him in a world of trouble.
Jacob Malone served as the young woman’s guardian during the time of the assaults, which began in the fall of 2014 and lasted about a year, said Chester County Assistant District Attorney Emily Provencher.
After the 16-year-old girl gave birth to his child, she accused him of sexual assault, saying he took advantage of her “mentally, physically [and] spiritually.”
He pleaded guilty and was sent to prison for a three-to-six years, longer than the agreement he made with prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea.
“This is one of the times when the court system fails,” said Judge Jacqueline Cody when she rejected his plea deal and sentenced him to the maximum allowed.
“You are serving a sentence much lighter than the crime deserves.”
The story of David and Bathsheba tells of a king who sinned, then tried covering up his sin by having Bathsheba’s husband murdered.
King David, instead of leading his troops into battle as was the custom of the day, stayed behind in Jerusalem. One evening while on the roof of his house, he saw Bathsheba, a stunningly beautiful woman, bathing in her home.
He ordered his underlings to bring Bathsheba to him, which they did. He slept with her and Bathsheba conceived a child.
To hide his sin, King David ordered his men to take Bathsheba’s husband, Uriah the Hittite, into the hottest part of the battle and leave him there so he would be killed.
In similar fashion, Jacob Malone attempted to have his former boss and the judge who sentenced him for sexual assault.

Didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read this one. Like the comparison to David….
