The National Firearms Association (NFA) markets themselves as Canada’s “largest and most effective advocacy organization representing the interests of firearms owners and users.”
How effective is the NFA after they used a stolen mailing list in a desperate bid for members, and in the process, alienated the only political party that might view them favourably?
The simple answer, one you will never hear from NFA President Sheldon Clare, is NOT AT ALL.
I heard third-hand that Sheldon’s response to the growing fiasco was
There’s no such thing as bad press.
If that’s true then he’s is not paying attention.
The only sound Sheldon Clare will hear the next time he calls anyone in the Conservative Party of Canada is this:
Yep, that’s effective advocacy, all right.
