“Oh, the hypocrisy is great in this one!”

Hollywood Hypocrite Matt Damon made a fortune using guns in his Jason Bourne movies.  Since he’s one of the special people he has no problem with HIM using guns.  It’s just we “mere citizens” who should be stripped of the very same firearms that made him a household name.

I hate hypocrites like Matt Damon.

“You guys did it here in one fell swoop and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly. We just can’t. I wish we could be sensible like that but I don’t think that’s going to happen in my lifetime.”

Like all good Hollywood Hypocrites Matt Damon can only comprehend that which promotes his own world-view.  The Constitution of the United States of America?  Matt Damon has little use for that tired old piece of parchment or the rights it codifies into the highest law of the land or the Second Amendment thereof.

“It’s wonderful what Australia did because you guys haven’t had a mass shooting since you went, ‘No, we’re going to be sensible about this.’ And nobody’s rights have been infringed, you guys are fine.”

Uh huh.

I disagree.  So does every single Australian victim of a home invasion since the guns were taken away.

In the wake of the mass disarmament of the mere citizens of Australia something unsurprising happened.  Home invasions became the “crime du jour” for violent criminals and why not?  They knew nobody could defend themselves.

Home invasions rose so dramatically that in 2014 the Australian government was finally forced to introduce harsh penalties for home invaders.

Police Minister Liza Harvey said she would introduce legislation to tighten mandatory sentencing laws for serial burglars and impose the toughest penalties in Australia for serious home invasions.

“We must make the victims of home burglaries the priority, the people who have their houses broken into repeatedly, or worse, those who have been attacked and assaulted during a home invasion,” she said.

“We all have the right to feel safe and be safe in our own homes.”

But that’s of no consequence to Matt Damon who has enough money to buy a small army to protect him and his loved ones.

We mere citizens?  He’d feed us to the wolves in a heartbeat if it meant his beloved and hypocritical views could be forced upon us.

Matt Damon is hardly the only Hollywood Hypocrite when it comes to guns.   Unlike real men like Clint Eastwood, they would see us stripped of any means of self-defense so long as they can pretend their progressive utopia actually exists in the real world.  It does not.

Here then, courtesy of the NRA, is a short list of Hollywood Hypocrites who despise guns in the hands of mere citizens.  Of course these folks have no problem shelving their anti-gun ideals when a big fat paycheck is dangled in front of their faces, but then that’s pretty much the definition of hypocrisy, isn’t it?
